11:04 pm - Pinkslip for an autopilot Dear autopilot,
I regret to inform you that your services will no longer be needed in my head. When I wish to go down whippany road, you decide to continue to take me down park avenue. I do not wish to go to work. Park avenue does not have a conveniant turn around. I had let that slide but recently I have been late for school. To get to school I must continue down park avenue across Columbia Turnpike. You continue, however, to make a left onto Columbia Turnpike. That leads to an automatic five minute detour just to get back on track. Once again, I am not going to work, I am going to school. I do not wish to see the Morristown airport again. 24 does not offer me an acceptable solution. There is endless marshland further down Columbia. That does not assist me in my real issue at hand -- getting to school in an expedient manner. So, you have been fired. You like to go to Bennigans so much, maybe you should get a job there.

10:25 pm - Dialogues of the Day A conversation I heard the other day:
Girl: You know, if I didn't know any better I'd say he was mentally ill. Girl 2: Yeah, like a fever? Girl: No, like schizophrenia. Girl 2: Isn't that like some kind of disease? Girl: What is wrong with you? Girl 2: I think I have a stomach ache.
And on the other side of the room:
Guy: Yo those two girls over there are fine. Guy 2: Word, yo, I bet they're just dying for some of this. Guy: Some of what? Guy 2: This, bro, this. Guy: I don't get what you mean by "this." Guy 2: This bro! Come on bro, this!
Off in the second floor:
Employer: If you don't shape up I'm going to have to fire you. Employee: But that's the thing! I'm always late because I'm at the gym!
Somewhere in a building within a 3 mile radius:
Customer: Do you have that new camera? Salesman: All our cameras are new.
On a street corner, not far away:
Kid: I heard that if you dropped a penny off a building it would kill the person it hit. Kid 2: I want to see that! Kid: My mom told me I'm afraid of heights so I can't test it. Kid 2: Let's just drop it from a shorter height onto something smaller, oh! There's an ant! (Kid drops penny on the ant) Kid 2: Oh it totally worked!
Back at home:
Wife: Dear, I can't seem to separate the whites from the colors. Husband: Why that's rediculous! Wife: Well with the stains you leave in your underwear I'm not sure which pile to put them in.
About 300,000 miles above the house:
Pilot: You know, I met your wife the other day and she was hot. Co-Pilot: Yeah, that woman is stupid. Who wears a fur coat in the middle of July? Pilot: Oh. I only saw her in a black neglige in my bedroom. Don't worry though, she was only in it for about 3 minutes. Co-Pilot: Your bedroom? Pilot: Yeah, she's got a bladder the size of a golf ball.
Somewhere below the surface of the ocean:
Fish: Oh shit. Shark: Yum.
And finally, in a dive bar on the other side of town:
Drunk: I threw up on my shoes. Bartender: It's okay, I mistook them for a toilet too when I pissed on them earlier. Current Mood: random. very random

11:40 pm - I'm confused too. So the other day I was thinking ...
What would happen if the day after the first day of yesterday's second cousin's weekend happened to fall on the same day as the last tuesday of the month before next august's birthday?
Then I thought. What the hell?
I told myself not to talk to me until it made more sense. Current Mood: I only have two feet!

03:20 pm - The Count of Monte Cristo vol. 7.3 I just want to say that I sold 7 monte cristo paninis to a total of 3 tables. It truly is the new wave.
When did I become a Bennigans geek? I don't like it.
So I'm going to talk about something completely different.
I don't even know what it is.
Postcards. The first word to come to my head was Postcards. So. Anyone have any thoughts on postcards? A few people have commented on the absurdity of the signs you may find along route 10 that read "I buy postcards." I'm thinking about taking some of mine in. I've got a classic Robert Buckenmayer postcard from Durban, South Africa -- that's gotta be worth at least 2 bucks. I even have a mint condition Joanna Antoniou postcard from Cyprus! I'm expecting to score at least 10 - 15 bucks on that one. And really -- what's in a postcard anyway. "Hi! I'm in (location). I drank way too much every night and I think I married one of the natives! That's okay because tomorrow I'll be in (location), and I'm looking forward to -- oh, I'm out of space. Bye!"
Oh, I'm out of space. Bye. Current Mood: Not Sure Current Music: "Border Crossing" -- Throwback (because it's in my head)

07:30 pm - The Count of Monte Cristo vol. 7 I would have sold two of these in one day if I didn't accidentally order a Monte Cristo Panini* for one guy.
The Monte Cristo tally so far is: 15
*Monte Cristo Panini (n) -- A grilled version of the classic Monte Cristo only comes with two pieces. It has most of the ingredients, swiss cheese, american cheese, ham, turkey and bread. In place of the raspberry jam is a creamy raspberry sauce*. The Panini lacks powdered sugar and tempura batter and subsequently loads of grease and calories. It has become a preferred choice over the Monte Cristo in recent times, perhaps due to the warmer weather, perhaps due to the fact it's finally being recognized on the new menu, or just perhaps, and most likely, because we grill images of the Virgin Mary and the Runaway Bride on every sandwich.
*Creamy Raspberry Sauce (n) -- This is not just for sandwiches. It actually goes great on top of ice cream. A new creation has been formed called "Ice Cream Soup*" which combines vanilla ice cream, oreo cookie crumbles, and the creamy raspberry sauce. After putting a scoop of vanilla ice cream into a soup bowl, add a handful of oreo cookie crumbles and a ramekin of creamy raspberry sauce. Stir with a spoon until it is a thick, creamy consistency. Bring out to a table and eat it while people marvel at what you've created with either disgust, intrigue, or general ambivalence. Make loud "mmmm" sounds.
*New Soup Recipes:
Along with the Ice Cream Soup, two other new soups have been created out of sheer boredom of soup selection and a desire to make a Bennigans experience a little more interesting.
Tortilla Potato Soup (n) -- Simply a bowl of Chicken Tortilla soup with a half ladle of Potato Soup stirred in. Topped with tortilla chips and Monterey Jack cheese, this soup combines two popular soups into a super soup of sorts sure to satisfy* the belly of anybody who likes it.
Cookie Soup (n) -- A bowl of Tortilla soup which has clover shaped sugar cookies crumbled up into it. Add a moderate amount of cream to the mixture to create a true "cookies and milk" experience. Stirring the soup allows the cookies to melt creating a creamy, sugary, thick soup that causes those observing to cringe in disgust and gape in amazement. Don't be detracted by the nay-sayers though, for with a simple spoonful you will convert even the most disgusted of skeptics.
*Super soup of sorts sure to satisfy (allit) -- That's a crazy alliteration. Current Mood: goofy Current Music: Sadly none.

03:04 pm - The Count of Monte Cristo vol. 5 Not only has the past three weeks been very slow Monte Cristo wise -- (perhaps the increasing temperature creates less desire to eat such a thing) -- but I've slacked a little. Today is just a number update.
The Monte Cristo tally so far is: 12 Current Mood: tired Current Music: I thought I was hearing music, but there's nothing on
